Lytegate&#8217;s Liquid Core Waveguide (LCW) flow cells allow for precise optical measurements at long path lengths with minimal sample volumes. The flow cell functions like an optical fiber, with the liquid sample serving as the fiber&#8217;s core. This allows for optical path lengths of up to 200 cm while maintaining excellent optical transmission, making them ideal for UV\/VIS spectroscopy applications where low concentrations must be reliably detected. LCW flow cells are used in laboratory chemistry, seawater analysis (CDOM), and colorimetry. They are optimized for fluid injection analysis (FIA) and gas-segmented analyzers. Optical detection is performed using fiber optic spectrometers and photometer systems.
